Dancer | Choreographer | Educator | Raised in LA

With a journey that began at the acclaimed Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) and culminated in magna cum laude graduation from UCLA in 2012, Genna has carved an illustrious path in the world of dance and choreography.

Genna's professional career commenced in 2010 when she performed in Barak Marshall's captivating works with BODYTRAFFIC. Since then, she has continued to partner with Marshall's, contributing to the evolution of his visionary creations around the world.

As a founding member of Ate9 Dance Company, between 2012-2019 Genna had the opportunity to perform at renowned venues such as Jacob’s Pillow, White Bird Dance, American Dance Festival, Vishneva Fest (Moscow), The Joyce Theater and The Wallis Theater. During this time, she was also part of developing new works with Shahar Binyamini, Tom Weinberger, Guy Shomroni and Yaniv Abraham.

Genna has been fortunate to perform and present her own work at R.E.D.C.A.T. and Congress: Legalize Dance. In 2020, Ballet Florida premiered her piece “tethered dreams” at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Closing out 2020, Genna debuted her collective Gorgeous Ugly Movement (G.U.M.) at REDCAT’s NOWFEST 2020.

Embracing a new chapter in her career, Genna is seamlessly transitioning her talents to the world of commercial film and stage. She has choreographed for a top lineup of artists, including HAIM, One Republic, Dominic Fike, Marina, Carly Rae Jepsen, XAmbassadors, SASAMI, Zella Day, Francisca Valenzuela, Fitz and the Tantrums, Marian Hill, while also making her mark as a featured talent in music videos for artists like Perfume Genius and Olivia Rodrigo NIKI & more! More recently, Genna choreographed for the upcoming indie film “Invisible Raptor” and had the incredible opportunity to work on the feature film “Holland, Michigan” as assistant choreographer.

Beyond her performance and choreographic endeavors, Genna is a Dance Church® instructor and has been certified in Gaga. She shares her passion for movement as faculty at Cal Arts, enriching the next generation of theater students with her expertise and insight.

Above all, Genna's mission is to cultivate joy and depth through movement, fostering inclusive and supportive environments for exploration and creativity.
